A cylinder block is the powerhouse for the motor vehicle. The solid cast car part houses the cylinders and their components (gaskets, valves, and seals) inside a lubricated and cooled crankcase. Since it is one of the most important parts of your car, the block is designed to be extremely strong and sturdy. Although strong and sturdy, the block is susceptible to failure resulting in a vehicle that won't start. Cracked blocks, porous blocks, core plug, or freeze plug failure are some of the problems facing cylinder blocks. Call 941-822-6151 to talk to the mechanics of Sarasota Mechanic about your cylinder block problems.
A cylinder head is the closed end of a cylinder (located in a car's engine block). It sits above the cylinder block, closing the top of the cylinder and forming the combustion chamber. The cylinder head coordinates airflow in and out of the engine. Since the cylinder head's chief function is to seal the cylinders properly, insufficient compression results in the car being difficult to drive. To have your cylinder head checked and repaired, talk to Sarasota Mechanic's cylinder head repair and reconditioning specialists today.

A timing belt is a part of your car's internal combustion engine. The belt synchronizes the camshaft and the crankshaft rotation so that the engine valves open and close at the correct timings. Also, the belt prevents the piston from striking the valves in an interference engine. A timing Belt is a rubber belt that usually features teeth on the inside surface, while a timing chain is a metal roller chain. Most cars we drive now have timing belts instead of timing chains and gears. Although different manufacturers have their recommended mileage, you need to have your car's timing belt checked regularly. To have it checked by experts, contact Sarasota Mechanic today.
Although most manufacturers recommend a transmission flush every 30,000 miles or every two years, some symptoms may indicate that you need a transmission flush sooner. Some of the symptoms that indicate that your car needs a transmission flush sooner are: transmission grinding or strange noises, problems shifting gears, slipping gears, surging of the car, and delay in vehicle movement. Flushing the used fluid from the transmission washes away tiny particles of dirt, clutch material, and metal shavings. For all your transmission flush needs, call 941-822-6151 or visit Sarasota Mechanic today - we are transmission experts.

Ash has been servicing my BMW 128 for the last year... I love that he will always answer my call or return my text! He does awesome work and at an affordable price. Very honest guy. He always makes me feel like a VIP. I would highly recommend him.
I am very pleased with the honest service I receive from this business every time I go. My fixer upper has needed a few services done to keep her running and I've always left with the problem fixed and not feeling like I've been taken advantage of. Great service, great staff.
Beautiful Shop. Ashly the owner is very professional, courteous, experienced, and most of all honest. The shop is spotless and neat. His now new location has air conditioned waiting room with TV. Much nicer and improved shop. I believe Ashly will continue to grow. And would recommend him to everybody.
We love Ashley! He services my BMW. The car was unfortunately sold to me by a (former) trusted family friend with multiple very obvious issues that turned up almost immediately after my purchase of this vehicle. Ashley has been very honest with me and very helpful in the diagnosing and fixing of these issues. Now my car runs beautifully and I actually enjoy driving it! He's very kind and cares a lot about his customers! Me and my boyfriend won't go to anyone else!
He was AMAZING, He let me know what caused the problem and then took his time explaining it. I'm a college girl so I don't know much about cars, and he was quick and efficient. He understood my budget and knew what was needed to be done, and what could wait to be done I would recommend him to anyone! He's amazing. Thank you Ashly I truly appreciate everything. My car is running better than ever now.
There is no mechanic I have ever trusted so unconditionally. To say Ashly is an expert is an understatement of his skills. Even when I lived in the North Port area I would still come to him for my repairs. Ashly is an honest, hard working guy and I will always bring my vehicle to him. I refer all of my friends to him and will continue to do so as he is a genuinely great mechanic!
I could not be happier with the service provided and the help I received including getting specific instructions for going to a part store to get everything taken care of. I will not go anywhere else for any work done because this is the best mechanic I've found so far in the area! Well worth the drive. Thank you!!
Work was done quickly and at a fair price. BTW, no appointment on July 4th. Awesome job. Many thanks to Ashley for making it happen!
I initially questioned the legitimacy of this businesses reviews because there were so many positive responses, but Sarasota Mechanic is the real deal and has earned all of these positive reviews! Ash is knowledgeable, competent, honest, consistent and reasonably priced. He is completely transparent about parts cost and labor while providing customers options so they can make the best decisions about their car repairs. This is the best and only mechanic you'll ever need!
Called these guys on Saturday out of a bit of desperation because I needed my alternator replaced by Monday before I drove up to maryland. Almost no other shops were open on Sunday or could even look at my car before Monday afternoon. These guys offered to come to me and fix my car for significantly cheaper than other places I called. And I didn't have to get my car towed over there. After they fixed it on sunday, they charged me even less than the quote. Overall, very good experience and I will definitely call them again.
